Stillbirth + Loss:

The Importance of Trauma Informed + Culturally Sensitive Support

Stillbirth and Loss is an area of support that MANY birth workers have fears and worries about. The idea of supporting families through a loss can feel daunting and overwhelming. A concern that we hear often is “I don’t know what I would do if I was supporting a stillbirth, I am terrified that I would do/say something and make it worse”.

If this is something you have worries about then this workshop is for you. It has been designed specifically to help give folks the tools, information and resources to support their clients should they experience loss.

Loss can be devastating, and as birth workers we want to make sure that the physical, emotional and informational support we provide clients is coming from an evidence based, trauma informed and culturally sensitive place. This workshop will help prepare you in the event you do support families through loss, and give you the tools to help them, as well as yourself.
